RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• 12 hours of orientation provided
• Patient ratio of 6:1 for days, nights, and weekends
• 24-bed unit with daily census of 24 patients
• Float to all other inpatient units as needed (agency nurses pulled first)
• Weekend coverage required with every other holiday worked
• Unable to guarantee specific scheduling requests (block scheduling not available)
• Emergency team assignment possible during weather events or emergencies
• 2 years of experience in specialty required
• Must live over 65 miles from facility (no local travelers accepted)
• Compact or Louisiana license required upon submission
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, CPI, NIHSS, Telemetry
• Care for adult and geriatric patients with diagnoses including chest pain, CAD, PVD, arrhythmias, diabetes, COPD, pneumonia, hypertension, MI, renal failure, pulmonary embolism, CHF, GI bleed, and syncope
• Perform pre/post cardiac catheterization care, pacemaker/AICD procedures, ablations, vascular surgeries
• Manage cardiac and vasoactive drip titration including Cardizem, Amiodarone, Dobutamine, Nitroglycerin, Dopamine, and heparin
• Perform bedside sheath removal
• Work with telemetry monitoring, chest tubes, PCAs, epidurals, and wound vacs
• Handle dysrhythmia interpretation and management, blood product administration, central/peripheral/PICC line care, IV starts, port accessing, and wound care
