Opportunity:

Radiology / Cardiology - Interventional Radiology

Job Details:

• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Must be proficient in both peripheral vascular IR and neuro vascular IR
• Technologist must be able to scrub both peripheral and neuro cases
• On call requirement: every 3rd or 4th weekend starting Friday at 5:30 PM through Monday at 7:00 AM
• Work with adult patients, preferred experience with adolescents and geriatrics
• Two IR techs assigned to each room - one tech circulates and the other scrubs
• Required certifications: BLS and ARRT
• Must have Indiana license in hand prior to start date
• Floating required within hospital or to affiliate hospitals nearby
• First time travelers accepted
• Perform procedures including stents, angioplasty, angiograms, nephrograms, peripherals, drainages, upper and lower extremity procedures, abdominal and pelvic procedures, vascular studies, venous access, and neurological studies
• Work with Siemens equipment and PACS system
• Experience with embolizations, nephrostomy, IVC filter placement, PE thrombectomy, intracranial thrombectomy, stent placements, central line insertions
• Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
• Call-in policy: missed shifts must be made up during pay period or added to end of contract

This major healthcare facility operates a comprehensive interventional radiology department featuring 4 IR rooms including 2 single plan and 2 biplane Siemens c-arms. The facility maintains Level 1 trauma, Level 1 PE, and Level 1 stroke designations, providing advanced vascular interventional and neuro interventional services. The department performs a wide range of complex procedures including angiograms, embolizations, nephrostomy procedures, thrombectomy procedures, and various stent placements, serving as a regional referral center for interventional radiology services.
