Opportunity:

Registered Nurse - PCU

Job Details:

• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required with telemetry and proficient neuro experience
• Previous charge experience required with potential charge coverage responsibilities based on operational needs
• Must be flexible with weekend requirements - able to work 50% of weekends during contract
• Patient ratio of 1:3-4 (rarely 1:5 during emergencies)
• Floating required to different levels of care (Med-Surg, PCU, ICU) within facility and affiliate hospitals
• Required certifications: ACLS, BCLS, NIHSS
• Management of drips required with preferences for conscious sedation and Level 1 trauma experience
• Must be comfortable precepting and having students shadow during assignment
• Care for patients with CVAs, hydrocephalus, brain tumors and resections, seizures, TBIs, trauma cases, GI surgeries, and wound care
• Experience with arterial line management, ventilated patients, dysrhythmia interpretation and management required
• Skills in central line care, PICC management, cardiac drip titration, lumbar drains, and chest tubes needed
• Call-in policy requires makeup shifts or extension of contract based on FTE status
• Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
• First time travelers accepted but Indiana residents not accepted for this position
• Flu vaccine required with medical/religious exemptions only
