Description
Opportunity:
RN - Stepdown
Job Details:
• Work 12-hour shifts with guaranteed 36 hours for 3 shifts or 48 hours for 4 shifts per week
• Patient ratios of 1:4-6
• Weekend requirement: 3 weekends per 4-week schedule
• Float to all adult acute care units as needed
• No on-call requirements
• 2 years of nursing experience required
• Travel experience required
• Michigan license must be active by start date (compact license not accepted)
• Required certifications: BCLS by AHA
• Preferred certifications: ACLS, CPI, NIH
• EPIC charting experience required
• Must have telemetry experience and interpretation/management of dysrhythmias experience
• Preferred experience with ventilator management and conscious sedation
• Scrub color: Hunter Green
• Free parking with badge access to parking garage
• 12-hour orientation required
• Modules completed pre-start (non-billable, approximately 5 hours)
• RTO must be submitted at time of profile submission (5 day maximum policy)
• Care for patients with cardiac conditions, oncology, orthopedic trauma, stroke, and post-surgical patients

The facility offers extensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams. The stepdown units specialize in cardiac progressive care, medical oncology, orthopedics, surgical specialties, neurosciences, and inpatient rehabilitation services.

I am an Adult Cardiac Sonographer and I have been traveling for almost 3 years now and pretty much all the time with ADEX Healthcare staffing. I always look around for all the options as most of travelers do, but end up with this company, because They don’t fail me! Good competitive rates and always attention. Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
