Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work night shifts with every other weekend requirement
• Option for 4x12 hour shifts
• Float to like units as needed
• Possible charge nurse responsibilities as needed
• Patient ratio of 1:6 for days, nights, and weekends
• 30-bed medical surgical unit
• 30-minute lunch required with no skipped meals policy
• Patient population includes adults and geriatrics
• Must adhere to strict call-in policy
• Skills required: IV starts, isolation precautions, wound care/wound vac, med/surg telemetry, colostomy care, feeding tube management, blood product administration, peripheral line care, PICC line management, heparin and insulin administration, PCA pumps, surgical drains, oxygen administration
• Alabama nursing license required
• Current BLS via AHA certification required
• Fit test required
• NIHSS certification preferred
• Level II trauma experience preferred
• Travel experience preferred
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• Schedules cannot be adjusted once contract is confirmed
• Maximum 7 days requested time off allowed
• Orientation modules completed during orientation period
