Opportunity:

RN - ER; Additional Notes from VMS= Emergency Department RN

Job Details:

• Work 3x12 hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Weekday schedule with every other weekend required
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• Float within scope to meet facility needs when required
• Patient ratio of 4:1
• Care for patients from infants to geriatrics in Level 1 Trauma center
• Minimum 2 years RN experience required with 1 year minimum in-specialty experience
• First-time travelers accepted if they have appropriate experience
• WV or Compact RN license required (pending license acceptable)
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and CPI (CPI available through Qualivis)
• Must have skills in IV start and telemetry
• No call requirements
• Handle neurological, orthopedic, psychiatric, and renal emergencies with special focus on trauma
• Work with high psychiatric population with no separate psychiatric area
• Manage boarding and multiple high acuity patients
• Orientation held every other Thursday with 16 orientation hours
• Complete 2-4 hours of non-billable modules prior to start

The emergency department features interdisciplinary support services including respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, and social services, ensuring comprehensive patient care in a fast-paced trauma environment.
