Opportunity:

Registered Nurse - PCU

Job Details:

• Work in a fast-paced 48-bed cardiac telemetry unit with quick patient turnover
• Patient-to-nurse ratio of 4:1, may increase to 5:1 based on unit needs
• Team nursing approach utilizing PCAs (CNAs) and LPNs
• Care for patients with congestive heart failure, NSTEMI, atrial fibrillation, and post-cardiac catheterization procedures
• Must be comfortable managing patients on cardiac drips including amiodarone, cardizem, dopamine, dobutamine, nitro, lasix, and insulin
• Post cardiac catheterization procedure experience required
• Perform hourly rounding and bedside shift reports for all patients
• Every other weekend coverage required
• Floating within facility required if needed
• Minimum 1 year PCU/Telemetry experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Valid Maryland or Compact license required
• 40-hour orientation period
• Must complete virtual modules on first day (8 hours for new starts)
• Annual modules required (75-175 minutes depending on specialty)
• Maximum assignment length of 365 days with 6-month separation period required
