Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• 36 or 48 hour guaranteed shifts
• Patient ratio of 1:5-6 on a 33-bed unit with average daily census of 28
• Work every other weekend unless specified elsewhere
• Float within facility/scope of practice as needed
• No call requirements
• Required to work holidays based on assignment period (1-2 holidays if they fall during assignment)
• Minimum 1 year experience required; first-time travelers accepted
• BLS certification required
• Epic charting system experience required (also uses Pyxis and SBAR)
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Maximum 7 days RTO with blackout dates during Spring Break (April 4th-12th)
• Care for adult to geriatric patient population
• Handle medical surgical/remote telemetry cases including diabetes, post-op, wound vacs, and bariatrics
• Work with various equipment including wound vacs, PCA pumps, chest tubes, PICC lines, and high flow nasal cannula
• Manage feeding tubes, surgical drains, blood product administration, and isolation precautions
• 24 hours of orientation with modules completed during orientation period
• Full compliance required to start on time
