Travel or Local Allied Healthcare Professional needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available

Opportunity:

MRI Tech - MRI Tech

Job Details:

• Operate magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) equipment to produce cross-sectional images for diagnostic purposes
• Perform MRI examinations according to department policy and protocols
• Prepare and position patients for MRI procedures of various body parts
• Set up equipment including coils and monitoring devices in relation to patient positioning
• Perform Quality Control tests on department equipment and report discrepancies
• Collect and evaluate examination information from scheduling, patients, and referring physicians
• Maintain departmental records and patient information according to policy
• Screen patients and personnel for metal objects or implants that could cause harm
• Evaluate scanning procedure results for quality and completeness
• Manipulate images using console keyboard and mouse for physician display
• Send images to PACS system and verify exams in timely manner
• Maintain accurate documentation on logbook worksheets
• 2 years of MRI experience preferred
• Cardiac MRI experience is beneficial
• Completion of accredited Radiologic Technology Program or MRI accredited program required
• Registration from ARRT-R or ARMRIT required
• BLS certification required
• ARRT (MR) certification preferred
• Knowledge of anatomy and physiology required
• Ability to organize and prioritize work effectively
