Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Orthopedic

Job Details:

• Must be charge capable and willing to charge
• Orthopedic experience required
• EPIC experience required
• Minimum 2 years of experience in specialty required
• No acceptance of first-time travelers
• Must be willing to participate in Emergency Team assignments during facility emergencies
• Care for patients with total joint replacements (knees, hips, shoulders), ortho spine procedures (ACDF, TILF), and other orthopedic surgeries
• Work with special equipment including bladder scanner, Hoyer lift, and orthopedic braces
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS (AHA certifications required)
• No on-call requirements
• May float to other in-patient units including rehab, post-op trauma, ortho neuro trauma, med-surg, oncology, and observation
• No RTO greater than 2 weeks allowed
• Block scheduling not accommodated
• Must live over 65 miles from facility (no local travelers accepted)
• Compact or Louisiana license required in hand upon submittal
• NURSYS reports required and must be up-to-date within 4 weeks of submission
• Two manager/supervisor references required for clearance to start
• Orientation held 5 days a week with billable modules
