Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Work 3x12 hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• 8-week contracts available
• Patient ratio of 5-6 patients on days, nights, and weekends
• Float to other units as required
• Every other weekend required
• 36 hours of orientation provided
• 2 years of experience required
• First-time travelers accepted
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Required certifications: BLS and NIHSS
• Must successfully pass Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with minimum 80% overall score and 100% on lethal rhythms
• Experience required with Cerner charting system
• Maryland license or compact license required
• Care for adult and geriatric patients on 30-bed unit with daily census of 28
• Skills include cardiac telemetry, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, IV insulin protocols, central line care, blood product administration, wound care, and tracheostomy management
• Interdisciplinary support includes IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• Two supervisor references required
• No more than 7 days RTO permitted per 13-week contract
• Facility-specific modules must be completed within one week of contract signing
