Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work 3x12 night shifts with every other weekend required
• 13-week contract length with ASAP start date
• Critical Access facility requiring someone who can jump in after orientation
• Patient ratio of 1:6 for days, nights, and weekends
• Must have minimum 2 years experience and previous travel experience required
• First-time travelers not accepted
• 4 hours of orientation provided
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH, PALS (CPI preferred)
• Kansas license or compact license required at time of submission
• Care for adult, pediatric, and geriatric patients
• Skills required include gastrointestinal care, genitourinary/renal care, IV therapy, medication management, neurological/psychiatric care, and respiratory care
• Experience needed with colostomy care, feeding tubes, ports, blood products, central lines, PICC lines, cardiac drips, wound care, and isolation precautions
• Daily census of 16 patients across 18 beds
• May float to different units as needed
• Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
