Opportunity:

Registered Nurse - PCU

Job Details:

• 12-hour shifts caring for post-cardiac surgery and post-vascular surgery patients
• Patient ratios of 1:3-5 based on acuity for days, nights, and weekends
• Work every other weekend as required by contract, with potential for consecutive weekends based on operational needs
• 24 hours of orientation provided
• Required certifications: ACLS and BLS
• Must have Level I or Level II trauma experience, telemetry experience, IV start capabilities, and cardiac drip titration skills
• Strong cardiac and post-operative heart experience required
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
• Must be proficient with post-cardiac and post-vascular surgery care
• Work with multiple cardiac drips and Alaris pumps
• Care for adult and geriatric patient populations
• Floating required to different levels of care (Med-Surg, PCU, ICU) within hospital or affiliate hospitals
• May be assigned charge nurse responsibilities with training and resources provided
• Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
• Call-in shifts must be made up during pay period or added to end of contract
• First time travelers accepted
• Flu vaccine required with medical/religious exemptions only
