Opportunity:
RN - General
Job Details:
• NICU Level III/IV position caring for neonates and infants
• Patient ratio of 1:3 for days, nights, and weekends
• Float to mother baby and pediatrics units as needed
• Every other weekend coverage required
• 24 hours of orientation provided
• Average daily census of 30 patients in 46-bed unit
• Required certifications: BLS and NRP (AHA certifications required)
• Epic charting system experience required
• Minimum 2 years of experience in specialty required
• Post-operative experience required
• Travel experience required - first time travelers not accepted
• Must live over 65 miles from facility (no local travelers accepted)
• Louisiana or Compact license required upon submission
• Care for patients with diagnoses including prematurity, respiratory distress syndrome, TTN, hypoglycemia, congenital anomalies, feeding difficulties, thermoregulation issues, and neonatal abstinence syndrome
• Skills include blood glucose monitoring, phototherapy, breastfeeding support, tube feedings, IV placement and maintenance, neonatal dosage calculations, phlebotomy, and telemetry monitoring
• Work with special equipment including oscillators, jet ventilators, bubble CPAP, high flow nasal cannula, and transcutaneous CO2 monitors
• Assist with special procedures such as umbilical lines, lumbar punctures, PICC placement, and intubations
• May be assigned to Emergency Team during emergency events with expectation to remain at facility
• Self-scheduling system
• No call requirements

I am an Adult Cardiac Sonographer and I have been traveling for almost 3 years now and pretty much all the time with ADEX Healthcare staffing. I always look around for all the options as most of travelers do, but end up with this company, because They don’t fail me! Good competitive rates and always attention. Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
