RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• 8-week assignment starting ASAP
• 12-hour orientation required
• Patient ratio of 6:1 for days, nights, and weekends
• 24-bed unit with daily census of 24 patients
• Weekend coverage required with every other holiday
• Must be willing to float to all other inpatient units (agency are first to be pulled)
• Cannot guarantee specific scheduling requests such as block scheduling
• Must be available for emergency team assignment during facility emergency events
• Must maintain 65+ miles distance from facility (no local travelers)
• Minimum 2 years experience in specialty required
• Epic charting system experience
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, CPI, NIHSS, Telemetry
• Louisiana Compact license or LA license required upon submission
• NURSYS report required (within 4 weeks of submission)
• Care for patients with chest pain, CAD, PVD, arrhythmias, DM, COPD, pneumonia, hypertension, MI, renal failure, PE, CHF, GI bleed, syncope
• Potential for med-surg overflow patients including sepsis, CVA, and COVID+
• Perform pre/post cardiac catheterization care, pacemaker/AICD procedures, post-operative CABG and thoracotomy care
• Manage cardiac and vasoactive drips with titration capabilities
• Perform sheath removal at bedside
• Work with telemetry monitoring, chest tubes, PCAs, epidurals, and wound vacs
• Provide wound care, central and peripheral line management, IV starts, and port access
