Description
Opportunity:
RN - Med Surg Tele
Job Details:
• Night shift position working 36 hours per week with 12-hour shifts
• Located in ED Holding Support position within the Float Pool
• Care for patients in Emergency Department waiting for inpatient beds with any medical/surgical adult diagnosis
• Patient ratios: 1:7 for MS/Tele patients or 1:4 for PCU level patients
• Float to ED and MedSurg areas as needed based on census and skill sets
• Every other weekend required
• Maximum 7 days RTO allowed
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Travel experience required
• 12 hours of unit orientation
• Navy scrubs required
• Must be comfortable with MS/Tele skills including dysrhythmia interpretation and management, telemetry monitoring, blood product administration, peripheral line care, phlebotomy, PICC line management, and various respiratory equipment
• Preferred skills include IV insulin protocols, hemodialysis management, central line care, wound care, and trauma experience
• Use Epic documentation system and Pyxis medication system
• Manager-scheduled position
• Cannot work more than 5 days in a row or 60 hours per week
• May be assigned to Storm Team/Hurricane Team during catastrophic events
• 8-10 hours of non-billable modules required pre-start and annually

Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
