Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Work night shifts 3x12 hours from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Weekend coverage required, likely every other weekend
• Patient ratios: 5:1 during days/weekends, 6:1 during nights
• Care for adult and geriatric patients with diagnoses including CHF exacerbations, respiratory illness, arrhythmias, general surgery, orthopedic conditions, COPD, and sepsis
• Float to all med surg floors and potentially rehabilitation unit
• May care for stable open heart surgery patients transferred from ICU (typically day 4-5 post-op)
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• ACLS and BLS certifications required (AHA or ARC only)
• Epic charting system experience required
• NIHSS certification preferred
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Skills required include telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, cardiac catheterization care, IV insulin protocols, central line management, blood product administration, wound care, and isolation precautions
• 8-hour orientation provided
• Maximum 7 days requested time off per contract
• Tobacco and fragrance-free facility
• Pre-start modules required (5-6 hours, billable)
• No license hits accepted
