Opportunity:

RN - CVICU

Job Details:

• Work 3x12 hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend schedule - 6 weekends (both Saturday/Sunday) in 13-week contract
• Individualized scheduling available (blocked scheduling options)
• Holiday coverage as needed
• Float required if needed - subject to float between all health system campuses
• Patient ratios of 1:2 for days, nights, and weekends
• 36 hours of orientation provided
• Minimum 2 years of experience required - first time travelers accepted
• Previous charge experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS
• Epic charting system experience required
• Must pass EKG exam during compliance (2 attempts allowed)
• Zero-tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences
• Care for Medical/Surgical Cardiac ICU patients including MI, CHF, cardiac surgeries, post cardiac cath, LVAD, Impella, IABP, Arctic Sun patients
• Manage patients with renal failure/CRRT, respiratory failure, sepsis, open heart surgical patients, AAA repair, vascular surgeries, ECMO
• Skills include CVVHD/CRRT, arterial line management, blood product administration, central line care, ventilator management, continuous IV sedation, and cardiac/vasoactive drip titration
• Experience with SICU, ECMO, intra-aortic balloon pump, sheath removal, TAVR preferred
• Work with interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
