Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work 4x12 hour shifts with every other weekend requirement
• Float to like units as needed
• Possible charge nurse responsibilities when required
• Patient ratio of 1:6 for adults and geriatric populations
• 30-bed medical surgical unit treating regular medical surgical patients
• 30-minute lunch required with no skipped meals policy
• Must adhere to strict call-in policy
• 1 year of nursing experience required
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Level II trauma experience preferred
• Travel experience preferred
• Required certifications: BLS via AHA and current Fit Test
• NIHSS certification preferred
• Skills include: IV starts and maintenance, isolation precautions/PPE, wound care and wound vac management, colostomy/ileostomy care, feeding tube management, blood product administration, peripheral and PICC line management, heparin and insulin administration, PCA management, surgical drain care, oxygen administration
• Alabama nursing license required
• Charting system experience required
• Schedules cannot be adjusted once contract is confirmed
• Requested time off must be included at contract confirmation with maximum 7 days allowed
• Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretary
