Description

Opportunity:

RN - ICU

Job Details:

• 2+ years of nursing experience required with previous travel experience required
• Strong Neuro ICU experience must be noted in work history
• Patient ratios of 1:2 for days, nights, and weekends
• Required to work 3-4 weekend shifts per month (Friday or Saturday night)
• 24 hours of orientation provided
• Float as needed per census - if pulled to another ICU, still only take 2 patients; if pulled to telemetry unit, only take 3 patients
• Required certifications: NIHSS, ACLS, BLS
• EPIC charting system experience required
• Must be more than 75 miles from facility to be eligible as traveler
• Kentucky nursing license in hand or compact required at submission
• 2 references required
• Care for adult patients with acute and subacute ischemic and hemorrhagic strokes, subdural hematomas, post-craniotomy patients, carotid procedures, seizures, and other neurological conditions
• Manage ventilated patients, arterial lines, central lines, IV drips, and specialized neuro equipment
• Experience required with airway management, dysrhythmia management, continuous IV sedation, vasopressor titration, and multisystem organ dysfunction
• Work with specialized equipment including extraventricular drains, lumbar drains, CRRT, Arctic Sun, and BIS monitoring

The facility offers comprehensive interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and various diagnostic services. The unit specializes in pre and post-intervention stroke care, neurosurgical procedures, and critical neurological conditions with state-of-the-art monitoring and treatment equipment.

I am an Adult Cardiac Sonographer and I have been traveling for almost 3 years now and pretty much all the time with ADEX Healthcare staffing. I always look around for all the options as most of travelers do, but end up with this company, because They don’t fail me! Good competitive rates and always attention. Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
