Job Details:

• Minimum 3 years of operating room experience required
• Previous travel experience required
• Level I trauma experience required
• Must function independently in multiple surgical specialties including robotics, orthopedics, general surgery, gynecology, urology, bariatrics, ENT, plastics, vascular, thoracic (excluding cardiac), and trauma
• Must be proficient with Da Vinci Xi robot system and bonus for Da Vinci 5 familiarity
• Must be proficient with robotic general, gynecology, thoracic, and urology specialties
• Prefer RNs who can both scrub and circulate
• Call requirements: 2-3 calls within 6-week matrix with 30-minute response time required
• Weekend coverage: 3-4 weekend shifts within 6-week matrix (can be days, evenings, or nights)
• Holiday coverage as needed on various shifts
• Floating required as needed
• Patient ratio of 1:1
• Care for patients of all age groups including neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Work in 18-room operating suite with daily census of 50-60 cases
• Maximum 7-day return to orientation period
• Epic charting system experience heavily preferred
• BLS certification required (AHA or ARC only)
• Clean nursing license required with no hits accepted
• Tobacco and fragrance-free facility
• Pre-start modules required (5-6 hours to complete)

This major healthcare facility operates a comprehensive surgical services department with 18 operating rooms and a 593-bed capacity. The facility specializes in advanced surgical procedures including robotic surgery with Da Vinci Xi and Da Vinci 5 systems, trauma care, and multiple specialty services. The organization maintains Level I trauma capabilities and offers extensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams. The facility excludes open heart surgery and neurosurgery from this particular unit.
