Opportunity:

Registered Nurse - PCU

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Schedule includes three 12-hour shifts per week
• Every 3rd weekend required with 4 weekend shifts per 13-week contract
• Float to IMC/MS/Tele units as needed
• Patient ratio of 3-4 patients
• Care for adult and geriatric patient populations
• 2 years of nursing experience required
• PCU/Stepdown/IMC/Tele/Cardiac Tele experience required
• ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Must successfully pass Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with minimum 80% overall score and 100% on lethal rhythms
• Compact or MD nursing license required at time of submission
• Skills include cardiac monitoring, IV management, wound care, tracheostomy care, chest tube management, BiPAP/CPAP, central line care, and pre/post cardiac procedures
• Charting system experience with Cerner preferred
• First-time travelers accepted
• 32 hours of orientation provided
• Must complete facility-specific modules within one week of contract signing
• Flu vaccine required with no exemptions

Facility:

This healthcare facility operates a progressive care unit specializing in cardiac and stepdown care for patients requiring continuous monitoring and advanced nursing interventions. The 18-bed unit maintains a daily census of approximately 10 patients and provides comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and various ancillary services. The facility focuses on caring for patients with conditions such as CHF, CAD, STEMI, NSTEMI, and pre/post cardiac procedures including CABG, TAVR, and vascular interventions.
