Opportunity:

RN - ER

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour day shifts with 36 guaranteed hours per week
• Weekend coverage required with block scheduling options available
• Patient ratio of 1:5 across all shifts
• Must be willing to work holidays
• 2 years minimum nursing experience required
• Must have 1 prior travel assignment
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH, and PALS
• Required skills: Conscious Sedation, Telemetry, Triage, and Vents
• Must have Cerner experience
• Must successfully pass Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with minimum 80% overall score and 100% on lethal rhythms
• Dress code: Navy blue scrubs (not provided by facility)
• 36-hour orientation period
• Care for patients of all age groups from neonates to geriatrics
• Handle approximately 200 patient visits per day in 62-room emergency department
• Perform special procedures including conscious sedation, chest tubes, arterial lines, and ventilator management
• Work with specialized equipment including rapid infusers, GE monitors, and Zoll defibrillators
• Flu vaccine required with no exemptions
• Complete facility-specific modules within one week of contract signing

This healthcare facility operates a comprehensive emergency department with 62 beds and handles approximately 200 patient visits daily. The facility provides extensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, and rapid response teams. The emergency department treats a wide variety of patient diagnoses including cardiac, respiratory, stroke/neuro, orthopedic, oncology, and trauma cases, with specialized capabilities for complex procedures and critical care interventions.
