Opportunity:

RN - ICU

Job Details:

• Work 3x12 hour shifts in a mixed ICU environment
• Provide care for patients across multiple ICU specialties including OB, CICU, SICU, MICU, and PICU
• Maintain patient ratio of 3:1 for days, nights, and weekends
• 2 years of ICU experience required
• Previous charge experience preferred
• 18 hours of orientation provided
• Block scheduling type
• Weekend coverage as needed
• One pre-approved time off request allowed
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), PALS preferred
• Current New Mexico or Multi-State nursing license required
• Must be prepared to manage patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure
• Experience with cardiovascular, medical, and surgical intensive care required
• Skills include arterial line management, central line care, ventilator management, and cardiac/vasoactive drip titration
• Care for adult and geriatric patient populations
• Must arrive within 30 minutes if placed on-call
• Floating may be required in rotation with facility staff
• Smoke/nicotine free campus policy
• Keep time off requests to minimum with expectation to work some holidays
• Travelers within 70 miles of Silver City, NM not accepted
• Community hospital and Meditech charting experience preferred

The facility features a mixed ICU unit that requires nurses to have broad knowledge across multiple intensive care specialties. The medical center maintains interdisciplinary support services including physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, and pharmacy to ensure comprehensive patient care.
