Opportunity:

RN - Stepdown

Job Details:

• Work 3x12 hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Float pool position - float to MedSurg as patient volume requires
• Up to 2 weekends per month required
• Holiday coverage required
• Blocked scheduling may be considered if requested upfront but not guaranteed
• 5:1 patient/RN ratio with goal of 4:1
• Average daily census is 20-24 patients with 24 beds total
• Must be comfortable caring for pediatric patients as they are not redirected
• Care for patients of all age groups: adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS (all AHA certified)
• Skills required: Telemetry monitoring and interpretation of dysrhythmias
• Must have EPIC EMR experience with recent proficiency required
• 2 years of nursing experience required
• North Carolina license or Multistate license required
• Dress code: All navy or all white scrubs
• Must reside more than 40 miles from facility
• Driver's license required for address verification

This medical center operates a 24-bed Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) that serves as a stepdown unit providing telemetry monitoring and specialized care for patients requiring a higher level of monitoring than general medical-surgical units. The facility maintains modern equipment and follows evidence-based protocols for cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, and comprehensive patient care across all age groups.
