Opportunity:

RN - ICU

Job Details:

• Minimum 2 years of experience required; first-time travelers accepted
• Care for adult to geriatric patient population
• Patient ratio of 1:2-3 (traveler should be prepared for possibility of taking a 3rd patient)
• 24 rooms with average daily census of 19
• Every other weekend required unless specified elsewhere
• Floating within facility/scope of practice as needed
• Holiday work required: if 1-2 major holidays fall during assignment, work all holidays; if 3 major holidays fall during assignment, work 2 of them
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Maximum 7 days RTO allowed
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH
• Unit systems: Pyxis, Epic, SBAR
• General diagnoses include ARDS, Sepsis, Stroke, STEMI, DKA, Post-op complications, Cardiogenic shock, GIB, COPD exacerbation, encephalopathy, Liver failure, Drug overdose, ESRD on CRRT
• Block scheduling not guaranteed
• No travel pairs allowed
• Full compliance required to start on time; 2-week push back if not compliant due to bi-weekly orientation schedule
• Clinical screen required to determine clinical fit
• 12 orientation hours provided
• Work with special equipment including cardiac monitoring, BIS, train of four, artic sun, FloTrac, IABP

The organization utilizes modern technology systems and maintains high standards for patient care with structured orientation and compliance requirements.
