Opportunity:

RN - ICU

Job Details:

• Minimum 2 years of experience required, first-time travelers accepted
• Patient population includes adults to geriatrics
• Patient ratio 1:2-3 (be prepared for possibility of taking a 3rd patient)
• Work every other weekend unless specified elsewhere
• Floating required within facility/scope of practice as needed
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH
• Scrub color: Navy Blue
• Maximum 7 days RTO allowed
• Holiday requirements: work 1 holiday if 1 falls during assignment, work both if 2 fall during assignment, work 2 of 3 if 3 fall during assignment
• Care for patients with diagnoses including ARDS, Sepsis, Stroke, STEMI, DKA, Post-op complications, Cardiogenic shock, GIB, COPD exacerbation, encephalopathy, Liver failure, Drug overdose, ESRD on CRRT
• Work with unit systems including Pyxis, Epic, SBAR
• Skills required: Post Cardiac Surgery care, CVVHD/CRRT, Post Neurosurgery management, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, central line care, CVA/Acute Stroke management, ventilated patient care, High Flow Nasal Cannula, suctioning
• Work with special equipment including cardiac monitoring, BIS, Train of four, artic sun, FloTrac, IABP
• Full compliance required to start on time
• Must complete orientation and modules during non-billable hours

This healthcare facility operates a 24-bed ICU with an average daily census of 19 patients. The unit provides comprehensive critical care services with extensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary support. The facility maintains high standards for patient care and utilizes modern technology and equipment to support complex critical care needs.
