Description
Opportunity:
Registered Nurse - PCU
Job Details:
• Work three 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Weekend rotation required
• Holiday rotation required
• No call responsibilities
• Minimum 2 years of experience required, first-time travelers accepted
• Patient ratio of 1:5 on PCU
• Must have Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH
• Cardiac telemetry experience required
• Must have experience with management and interpretation of dysrhythmias
• Experience required with peripheral line care/management and PICC line management
• Must be able to titrate drips
• Epic charting system experience required
• Must pass EKG exam during compliance (2 attempts allowed)
• Subject to floating between all Cone Health campuses as needed
• Provide care for adult patients with stroke backup, renal disorders, sepsis, endocrine disorders, gastrointestinal disorders, and hematological disorders
• 36-hour orientation provided
• Zero-tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences
• Must maintain strict compliance timeline with full file due by 12 noon EST the Wednesday prior to start date

This healthcare organization operates a 34-bed General Medical Progressive Care Unit providing comprehensive cardiac surveillance and telemetry monitoring services. The facility features a Centralized Cardiac Monitoring Department that provides continuous surveillance for patients. The unit offers extensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and various other specialized services to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
