Opportunity:

RN - ER

Job Details:

• Work 3x12 hour night shifts in the Emergency Centre
• Every other weekend (EOW) required
• Patient ratio of 4:1 for all shifts
• 36 hours of orientation provided
• Float within hospital as needed
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, TNCC
• Preferred certification: CPI
• 3+ years of experience preferred (will consider 1 year minimum)
• Previous charge experience preferred
• NC State or compact RN license required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Community hospital experience required
• Must provide all requested time off at time of submission
• Care for patients of all age groups including neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Handle non-trauma emergency department cases in stroke certified facility
• Perform skills including IV management, phlebotomy, 12-lead EKGs, blood product administration, and triage
• Manage patients with various conditions including trauma, psychiatric emergencies, and medical emergencies
• Work with interdisciplinary support including radiology and unit secretary

This community hospital operates a comprehensive emergency department with 34 rooms and 104 beds, maintaining a daily census of 84 patients. The facility is designated as a stroke certified center and provides emergency care for patients across all age groups. The emergency department features modern equipment and maintains high standards for patient care with strong interdisciplinary support services including radiology and administrative assistance.
