Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
• Schedule requires 3 shifts per week with every other weekend and holidays as needed
• 8-hour orientation provided
• Patient ratio of 5:1 for all shifts
• Care for adult and geriatric patients on a 56-bed unit (44 high acuity med surg beds and 12 IMCU beds)
• Primary patient diagnoses include pulmonary conditions (COPD, pneumonia), tracheostomy patients, high flow modalities, end stage renal disease, CHF, stroke overflow, ETOH withdrawal, and GI bleeding
• May float to rehab unit as needed
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
• First-time travelers accepted
• Required certifications: NIHSS and BLS (AHA or ARC only)
• EPIC charting system experience required
• Must be comfortable with telemetry monitoring and interpretation of dysrhythmias
• Skills include accessing/managing ports, insulin administration, blood product administration, central line blood draws, PICC line management, wound care, tracheostomy care, BiPAP/CPAP management, and high flow nasal cannula
• Maximum 7 days requested time off allowed per contract
• Clean nursing license required with no license hits accepted
• Tobacco and fragrance-free facility
• Pre-start modules required (5-6 hours completion time)
