Opportunity:

RN - Tele

Job Details:

• Work 3x12 hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend schedule required with holidays as needed
• Floating required as needed to other units or Cone Health campuses
• Patient ratio of 5 patients during all shifts
• 24 hours of orientation provided
• Minimum 2 years of experience required, first time travelers accepted
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Cardiac telemetry experience required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Must pass EKG exam during compliance (2 attempts allowed)
• Focus on cardiac patients including congestive heart failure, rule-out myocardial infarction, acute coronary syndrome, and arrhythmias
• Secondary focus on respiratory problems such as COPD and pneumonia
• Care for adult and geriatric patients with diagnoses including heart failure, respiratory failure, NSTEMI, COPD, and pneumonia
• Skills include IV insulin protocols, titration of insulin drips, starting and maintaining IVs, titrating cardiac drips, high flow nasal cannula, telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, feeding tube care, hemodialysis management, blood product administration, central line care, ABG interpretation, and CVP monitoring
• Zero-tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences
• Complete compliance file required by 12 noon EST the Wednesday prior to start date

This healthcare facility features a 30-bed telemetry unit with a daily census of 30 patients, providing comprehensive cardiac and respiratory care services. The facility offers extensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary support. The organization maintains high standards for patient care and utilizes Epic electronic health records for comprehensive patient management.
