Opportunity:

RN - OR

Job Details:

• Work Monday through Friday 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM with 1:1 patient ratios
• Call requirement every third day and every third weekend
• Call starts at 3:00 PM to 7:00 AM during weekdays and Friday 3:00 PM to Monday 7:00 AM for weekends
• Call back time is 30 minutes with cases lasting 2-4 hours or longer depending on complexity
• No float requirement or weekend requirement
• 24 hours of unit orientation required
• Scrubs provided by facility
• Must have minimum 2 years of experience
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS
• Experience required in general OR settings including colonoscopy, EGD, laparoscopic-assisted cases, appendectomy, cholecystectomy, colon resection, hernia repair, hysterectomy, C-sections, cataract extraction, arthroscopy, joint replacement, and cystoscopy
• Must be skilled in electrosurgical units, fiber optic equipment, blood product administration, cardiac monitoring, conscious sedation monitoring, infection control, radiation safety, specimen handling, IV starts, and PACU recovery
• Work with special equipment including Stryker orthopedic equipment, Olympus lap equipment, and Fugi endoscopy system
• Use Meditech and Omnicell systems for documentation and medication management
• Treat patients with appendicitis, bowel obstructions, cholecystitis, ureteral stones, orthopedic conditions, ophthalmic conditions, and GYN/OB cases
• Perform procedures including appendectomy, bowel resection, colonoscopy, EGD, cholecystectomy, orthopedic procedures, cataracts, C-sections, hysterectomy, hysteroscopy, ablations, ureteral stents, and prostate procedures
