Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Must have experience and be comfortable with 1:6 patient ratio
• Patients typically require PCU level of care
• 2 years of nursing experience required
• Every other weekend requirement
• Floating required within scope of practice
• No block scheduling allowed
• Mandatory 5 shifts for clinical orientation week (36-40 hours first week)
• Required certifications: ACLS, BCLS, NIHSS
• Orthopedic and total joint replacement nursing care experience strongly preferred
• Must work with adult and geriatric patient populations
• Experience with cardiac drips (no titration), telemetry, and dysrhythmia interpretation required
• Skills include chest tube management, CVA care, and various cardiac procedures
• Must complete 4 hours of modules prior to start date
• Holiday requirements: work 1 Eve and 1-2 holidays depending on assignment length
• Scrub color: Any color acceptable
• Charting system: Meditech
• 3 call outs results in termination
• Schedule changes may occur with 48 hours notice

This acute care hospital operates 210 staffed beds and provides comprehensive medical services including interventional cardiac catheterization lab on-site. The facility serves as a mixed unit combining Med Surg, Med Surg Tele, and PCU services with interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams.
