Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 3 shifts per week schedule
• Weekdays with some weekend coverage required
• Patient ratio of 4:1 during all shifts
• May float to ER, ICU, and LDRP units as needed
• Provide care for medical surgical, orthopedic, and general surgery patients
• Work with patients of all ages including infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Handle post-operative joint replacement patients and general medical patients
• Required skills include IV starts, telemetry monitoring, and charge experience preferred
• Must have experience with total joint replacements, blood product administration, wound care, and managing various medical equipment
• BCLS certification required, ACLS preferred
• Kansas state license or compact license required
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
• TRUBRIDGE (formerly CPSI) EMR experience preferred but willing to train
• Orthopedic experience with total hips and knees is a plus
• Rural health experience is a plus
• First time travelers and local candidates accepted
• Flu vaccine required with no exemptions
• Complete approximately 1 hour of non-billable modules pre-start

This regional medical center is a small hospital providing comprehensive medical and surgical services to the community. The facility features a 23-bed capacity with 20 rooms and maintains a daily census of approximately 12 patients. The hospital offers interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, and rapid response teams. As a rural healthcare facility, it provides essential medical care with a focus on orthopedic procedures, general surgery, and medical patient care.
