Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• 3 shifts per week schedule (3x12)
• Every other weekend required
• Floating to other units required
• Patient ratio of 5-6 patients across all shifts
• Must successfully pass Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with minimum 80% overall score and 100% on lethal rhythms
• 2 years of nursing experience required
• First-time travelers accepted
• Required certifications: BLS and NIHSS
• Must have Maryland license (compact or state license accepted)
• Experience with Cerner charting system required
• 36 hours of orientation provided
• Care for adult and geriatric patients with medical-surgical and telemetry needs
• Skills include cardiac telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, IV therapy, central line care, wound care, and pre/post hemodialysis management
• Unit supports 30 beds with average daily census of 28 patients
• Interdisciplinary support includes IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
