RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 3x12 night shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
• Patient ratio of 1:5
• Every other weekend required (non-negotiable)
• Float within scope to meet facility needs as needed
• No on-call responsibilities
• 2 years of experience required
• First-time travelers accepted
• SC license or Compact license must be in hand prior to start
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• Experience required: MS/Tele, Telemetry, Interpretation of Dysrhythmias, Telemetry on the unit
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Royal blue scrubs required
• Epic charting system
• Free parking available
• 24-hour orientation required
• Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
• During hurricane season (June-November), may be assigned to emergency response teams
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)
• Care for adult and geriatric patients with common medical conditions including diabetes, hypertension, CAD, ESRD, chronic respiratory illnesses, and arrhythmias

Facility:

This 286-bed acute care hospital features a new medical surgical telemetry unit built from the ground up. The unit has 30 beds with 10 currently open, staffed with 2 RNs and 1 tech per shift. Each bed is equipped with bedside monitors capable of telemetry, blood pressure, and pulse oximetry monitoring. The facility provides comprehensive interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretary services. Leadership is available during off-shift hours via phone, with 24/7 house supervisor coverage.
