Opportunity:

RN - IR

Job Details:

• Work 4x10 hour shifts from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM on weekdays
• On-call rotation required every 5th weekend
• 40 guaranteed hours per week
• Staffing ratio of 1:1 with adult and geriatric patient population
• Minimum 2 years RN experience required with Interventional Radiology experience mandatory
• First-time travelers accepted if they have IR experience
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS
• Must have West Virginia RN license or compact state license (pending acceptable)
• Perform special procedures including angiograms, fistulogram, permacath, EVAR, TCAR, TAVR, MitraClip, mechanical thrombectomy, and embolization
• Care for patients with diagnoses including CKD, CAD, PAD, PVD, stenosis, AAA, stroke, and aneurysm
• May float to general lab CDL as needed
• Orientation occurs every other Thursday with first 2 days in classroom setting
• Complete 2-4 hours of non-billable modules prior to start date
• Must live greater than 100 miles from facility (75-99 miles considered case-by-case)
• Flu vaccination required during flu season (October 1st - March 31st) unless medical exemption provided
• Use Cerner charting system
• Scrub color: Royal Blue/White

This short-term acute care hospital operates as a Level IV Trauma Center and major teaching facility, maintaining membership in the Council of Teaching Hospitals and Health Systems (COTH). The facility features 838 staffed beds and provides comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, and rapid response teams. The interventional radiology department includes 4 rooms with 12 beds and maintains an average daily census of 8 patients, offering advanced cardiovascular and interventional procedures.
