Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work 36/36 block schedule with every other weekend and rotating holidays
• No call requirements
• Floating to other units required
• Patient ratios of 6:1 for days, nights, and weekends
• 23-bed unit with daily census of 12-23 patients
• Adult patient population
• 2 years of nursing experience required
• Medical and telemetry experience preferred
• AHA BLS certification required
• Epic charting system experience required
• First time travelers accepted
• Must live 100+ miles from hospital service area
• 16 hours of non-billable orientation beginning on Sundays
• Expected to participate in nursing student support and clinical education
• Skills include Med/Surg, telemetry monitoring, IV management, wound care, blood product administration, and various specialized procedures
• Interdisciplinary support includes Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Radiology, Social Services, Rapid Response Teams, and Pharmacy
• Flu vaccine required with medical/religious exemptions only
• Drug test must be completed 12-14 calendar days prior to start date
• Facial hair must be trimmed for CDC fit testing guidelines
