Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Work 3x12 hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend schedule with holidays as needed
• Float required between all Cone Health facilities
• Minimum 2 years of experience required (first time travelers accepted)
• Patient ratios of 1:5-6 required
• Required certifications: BLS, NIHSS
• EPIC charting system experience required
• All RNs must pass a Pass/Fail EKG exam during compliance (2 attempts allowed)
• Telemetry remote monitoring experience required, on-unit monitoring preferred
• Skills required: feeding tube care and management, accessing ports, blood product administration, central line care/management, peripheral line care/management, PICC line management, starting IVs
• Experience with CVA patients, nasal cannula, isolation precautions, wound care/wound vac required
• 24 hours of orientation provided
• Zero-tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences
• Full compliance file required by 12 noon EST the Wednesday prior to start date
• Local radius 50 miles - no locals accepted
• Care for adult and geriatric patients with multiple co-morbidities, specializing in stroke/neuro population

The facility maintains a 29-bed unit with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation services.
