Description
Opportunity:
RN - NICU
Job Details:
• Work three 12-hour shifts per week with requirement to work one extra shift every 3 weeks during high census periods
• Care for patients ranging from 23 weeks gestation up to 1 year old in a highly surgical level 4 NICU
• Handle complex diagnoses including PPHN, bowel perforations, NEC, BPD, tracheostomy/G-button evaluations, pre-operative cardiac anomalies, gastroschisis, and hydrocephalus
• Maintain patient ratios of generally 1:2 in high acuity environment
• Float to PICU, CCU, or medical surgical floors with compatible skill sets as needed
• 2 years of experience required with travel experience preferred
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• BLS certification required
• Must have experience with pediatrics, PICU, neonates under 24-28 weeks, dysrhythmia interpretation, pre-cardiac surgery care, NEC management, sepsis workup, IV vasopressors, seizure disorders, VP shunts, nitric oxide therapy, and conscious sedation
• Work with specialized equipment including Drager/Servo/Trilogy ventilators, central lines, NIRS monitors, and various catheters
• Provide pre/post operative care, ventilator management, tracheostomy care, and chest tube management
• 24 hours of orientation provided
• Flu vaccine required with medical/religious exemptions only
• Two pre-approved time off requests allowed per contract

Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
