Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM (4x12 schedule)
• Patient ratios of 1:6 for all shifts
• Every other weekend and every other holiday required
• Float required within units of equivalent or lower level of acuity
• 2 years of nursing experience required
• Previous charge experience preferred
• First time travelers accepted
• Must successfully pass the Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with minimum 80% overall score and 100% on lethal rhythms
• Required certifications: BLS and NIHSS
• ACLS preferred
• Cerner experience required
• 12 hours of orientation provided
• Skills required: MS/Tele, Cardiac Monitoring, Genitourinary/Renal care, and IV therapy/Phlebotomy
• Care for adult and geriatric patients with diagnoses including stroke/TIA, pneumonia, diabetes, ESRD, renal failure, and PE/DVT
• Unit has 17 rooms, 38 beds with daily census of 35 patients
• Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, and rapid response teams
