Opportunity:

RN - PCU

Job Details:

• Work 84 hours biweekly with 72 hour guarantee
• Must be agreeable to floating between Med Surg and PCU units
• Weekend coverage required as needed, which may include most weekends during the contract
• Block scheduling may be accommodated, but set schedules cannot be approved
• Patient ratios: 5 patients during days, 6 patients during nights
• 36 hours of orientation provided
• Minimum 2 years of experience required, travel experience strongly preferred
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Epic charting system experience strongly preferred
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)
• Must care for adult and geriatric patient populations
• Work with MS/PCU overflow patient diagnoses
• Extensive skills required including telemetry monitoring, cardiac care, wound management, medication titration, and respiratory support
• License must be in-hand before start date
• Must complete lab requirements within 72 hours of accepting offer
• Hard documents due 3 business days prior to start
• Modules completed during orientation (2-3 hours average)

This healthcare facility operates a progressive care unit that provides intermediate-level care for patients requiring more monitoring than general medical-surgical floors but less intensive care than ICU settings. The facility offers comprehensive interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy services. The organization utilizes Epic charting systems and maintains high standards for patient care delivery across multiple units.
