RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work every other weekend unless otherwise specified
• Patient ratio of 1:4-5 on a 36-bed telemetry unit with average daily census of 35
• Care for adult to geriatric patient population
• Handle diagnoses including CHF, MI/chest pain (pre- and post-cath), dysrhythmias (pre- and post-device implants), hypo-/hypertension, pleural effusion, sepsis, PE/DVT/vascular issues
• Float within facility/scope of practice as needed
• No call requirements
• Required to work holidays based on assignment period: work one holiday if one falls during assignment, work both if two fall during assignment, work two of three if three fall during assignment
• Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, New Year's Eve/New Year's Day
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS (NIH preferred)
• Must have 2 years minimum experience; first-timers accepted
• Epic charting system required, also use Pyxis and SBAR
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Maximum 7 days RTO with blackout dates during Spring Break (April 4th-12th)
• Must manage cardiac and vasoactive drips (no titration) including milrinone, dobutamine, Amiodarone, Cardizem, Lidocaine, Bumex, Heparin
• 12 hours of orientation with additional modules completed during orientation
• Must be available to submit compliance documents and complete labs within 48 hours of signing contract
