Opportunity:
RN - Med Surg
Job Details:
• Work 3x12 hour shifts with guaranteed 36 hours per week
• Acuity adaptable unit with patient ratios ranging from 1:4-6 depending on acuity level
• Care for patients ranging from Med Surg level to PCU/Stepdown/ICU level of care
• Float position - may be floated to inpatient PCU unit
• Boarding unit where patients come from ED and are boarded until discharge or transfer
• 4-bed unit that can expand to 8-10 beds based on need
• Team nursing environment working with RN/LPN - must be comfortable with delegation
• Every other weekend requirement
• Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
• 2 years of experience required with PCU experience
• Travel experience required - first time travelers not accepted
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH
• Cerner charting system required
• No on-call requirements
• High-paced unit with potential for 15 admissions per day
• Skills include telemetry, central line care, PICC management, PCA, blood product administration, and dysrhythmia management
• Care for adult and geriatric patients
• Floating is 100% required to other units within hospital or affiliate hospitals
• Locals not accepted for this position

I am an Adult Cardiac Sonographer and I have been traveling for almost 3 years now and pretty much all the time with ADEX Healthcare staffing. I always look around for all the options as most of travelers do, but end up with this company, because They don’t fail me! Good competitive rates and always attention. Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
