Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts with 36 or 48 hours per week accepted
• Patient ratios of 1:5-6
• Floating requirement - must be comfortable floating to other units
• Weekend requirement: 12-16 shifts per contract
• Maximum 7 days RTO allowed
• Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
• 24-hour unit orientation required
• Hospital orientation during week one with required daily classes
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start
• Navy/White scrub colors required
• 2 years minimum nursing experience required
• BCLS certification required
• NC or Compact license required in hand at time of start
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• Must be assigned to Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team
• May be required to report during catastrophic events, mass casualty, or disasters
• Cannot work more than 5 days in a row or more than 60 hours per week
• 8-10 hours of non-billable modules must be completed pre-start
• Required skills include telemetry monitoring, IV insulin protocols, colostomy care, feeding tube management, blood product administration, central line care, PICC line management, chest tube management, wound care, and isolation precautions
• Care for patients with diagnoses including diabetes, dementia, COVID, pneumonia, COPD, sepsis, GI bleed, anemia, and hip fractures
