RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Three shifts per week (3x12 schedule)
• Weekend coverage required - 6 shifts in 6 weeks
• Patient ratio of 5:1 for all shifts (days, nights, and weekends)
• Must successfully pass the Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with minimum 80% overall score and 100% on lethal rhythms
• Required certifications: ACLS and BLS
• 2 years of nursing experience required
• First-time travelers accepted
• 24 hours of orientation provided
• Self-scheduling system
• One pre-approved time off period allowed
• Care for patients with diabetes, congestive heart failure, infections, sepsis, COPD, general surgery cases, sickle cell crisis, GI bleeds, and general medicine/observation cases
• Work with specialized equipment including patient lifts, PCA pumps, chest tubes, telemetry monitoring, and capnography
• Skills required include accessing/managing ports, blood product administration, central line care, telemetry monitoring, wound care, and IV management
• Most surgical cases are placed on this unit including large orthopedic procedures, colorectal surgeries, vascular procedures, and bariatric surgery
• Adult-only telemetry unit (pediatric patients accommodated but travelers not expected to care for them)
• Maryland license or compact license required
• Facility-specific modules must be completed within one week of contract signing
