Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• 3x12 shift schedule
• Weekend coverage required - 6 shifts in 6 weeks
• Patient ratio of 5:1 for days, nights, and weekends
• 24 hours of orientation provided
• Self-scheduling system
• Must successfully pass Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with minimum 80% overall score and 100% on lethal rhythms
• Required certifications: ACLS and BLS
• 2 years of nursing experience required
• First-time travelers accepted
• Must have either compact license or MD license at time of submission
• Flu vaccine required with no exemptions
• Care for patients with diabetes, congestive heart failure, infection, sepsis, COPD, general surgery cases, sickle cell crisis, GI bleed, and diverticulitis
• Handle surgical cases including orthopedic procedures, colorectal surgeries, vascular procedures, and bariatric surgery
• Work with telemetry monitoring, patient lifts, PCA pumps, chest tubes, and capnography equipment
• Skills include telemetry interpretation, dysrhythmia management, feeding tube care, blood product administration, central line management, wound care, and tracheostomy care
• No RTO permitted during first two weeks of assignment
• Maximum 7 days RTO per 13-week contract
