Description
Opportunity:
RN - Med Surg
Job Details:
• Work with adult and geriatric patients in a 13-bed medical-surgical unit
• Patient ratio of 5:1 for days, nights, and weekends
• Daily census of 10-13 patients
• One call shift required per 6-week schedule
• Weekend coverage required with 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule (Saturday/Sunday counted as weekend shifts)
• 40 hours of orientation provided
• Care for patients with post-op, orthopedic, diabetes, pneumonia, wound care, CBI, and urological cases
• Medical-surgical unit with no telemetry monitoring or cardiovascular drips
• 2 years of experience required with patient ratio experience of 5:1
• Travel experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Allscripts charting system experience preferred
• Must maintain current nursing license
• Complete lab requirements within 72 hours of accepting offer
• Non-billable modules completed during orientation (average 6-8 hours)
• Facility conducts mandatory drug screening upon arrival including marijuana testing
• Must be at least 150 miles from facility location

Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
