Opportunity:

Registered Nurse - PCU

Job Details:

• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required with telemetry and proficient neuro experience
• Previous charge experience required with potential charge coverage responsibilities based on operational needs
• Must be flexible with weekend requirements - able to work 50% of weekends during contract
• Patient ratio of 1:3-4 (rarely 1:5 during emergencies)
• Required certifications: ACLS, BCLS, NIHSS
• Must be comfortable with floating between different levels of care (Med-Surg, PCU, ICU) at multiple hospital locations
• Refusal to float may result in contract termination
• Must agree to possibility of precepting and/or having students shadow during assignment
• Management of drips, conscious sedation, and Level 1 trauma experience preferred
• Skills required include arterial line management, ventilated patient care, neuro stepdown, dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Care for patients with CVAs, hydrocephalus, brain tumors, seizures, TBIs, trauma cases, GI surgeries, and wound care
• Call-in policy requires makeup shifts during pay period or extension of contract
• Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
• Indiana residents not accepted for this position
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)
