Opportunity:
RN - Med Surg Tele
Job Details:
• Work 12.5-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend requirement
• 12 hours of orientation provided
• 2 years of experience required
• First time travelers accepted
• Pennsylvania license or compact required at time of submission
• Must be stroke certified with NIHSS certification required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Patient ratios: 1:6 at night (RN alone), 1:8 (RN + LPN)
• Work on MS Neuro Unit providing care to neurological patient population
• Care for patients with stroke, seizure, dementia, brain tumor, acute change in mental status, ambulatory dysfunction
• Must have experience with Epic charting system
• Skills required include interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, tracheostomy care, wound care/wound vac, IV insulin protocols, blood product administration, PICC line management
• Experience needed with CVA, pre/post neurosurgery, spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, BiPAP/CPAP management
• Must complete Pass/Fail exam (3 attempts maximum)
• PA fingerprints and childline clearance required
• Labs must be completed within 48 hours of signing

This healthcare facility operates a 35-bed Comprehensive Stroke Center specializing in adult neurological patients. The facility provides advanced care for ischemic and hemorrhagic strokes, TIA, neuromuscular conditions, seizures, brain and spinal cord tumors, subdural hematomas, headaches, post-operative complex spine patients, and epidural abscesses. The unit offers comprehensive interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy services.

I always look around for all the options as most of travelers do, but end up with this company, because They don’t fail me! Good competitive rates and always attention. Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
