Opportunity:

RN - ER

Job Details:

• Work night shifts with every other weekend and every other holiday schedule
• Patient ratios of 1:4-6 patients
• Navy blue scrubs required
• 3 years of experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS
• Valid Maryland or Compact nursing license required at time of submission
• First time travelers accepted
• Must float within hospital within scope of practice
• Care for patients of all age groups including neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Handle approximately 120 visits per day in 54-bed emergency department
• Work in Primary Stroke Center with gold certification from AHA
• Manage STEMI cases with transfer capabilities for catheter intervention
• Provide care in 2 locked behavioral health units with 1:6 ratio supported by ED staffing and security
• Work in 2 rapid evaluation units for urgent care and critical care needs
• Complete virtual modules on first day and annually (up to 8 hours, non-billable)
• Interdisciplinary support includes IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and other specialized services

This healthcare facility operates a comprehensive 54-bed emergency department that serves as a Primary Stroke Center with gold certification from the American Heart Association. The facility handles approximately 120 patient visits per day and features specialized units including two locked behavioral health care units and two rapid evaluation units for both urgent care and critical care needs. The emergency department provides advanced cardiac care including STEMI management with transfer capabilities for catheter interventions when needed.
